Drumming
One-Off
Tasters
Useful for
organisations that want a group to experience an activity with a difference,
that involves everybody, but have a time constraint. We devise simple
rhythms which can be taught to beginners in a short space of time. Long-Term
Residency
Allows the
participant time and space to develop musical skills and techniques. We
can develop progressive learning, working on technique and repertoire. Group
Size
5 to 500 people. Timescale
The rhythm
will vary depending on the timescale given. In two hours we can transform
a group of individuals into a band. Rhythms
Using our technique
of side-ways drumming, we are creating new traditions. We use elements
from different genres of music with influences from Hip-Hip, Funk, Drum
& Bass, Indian Dhol and Arabic grooves.
Funky
Junk One-Off
Tasters
We have created
instruments from industrial materials. In a one-off taster the group will
play our Batphones, Chime Bars, Cone Bones, Tornados and Slidy Saxophones
to form a tuneful band. Long-Term
Residency
We can develop
tunes and soundscapes, which can be site specific and are composed by
the participants. Group
Size

Minimum 2 hours. Grooves
We have composed
simple grooves and melody lines that can be learned within a two-hour
timescale, however, can be made more technical with increased time-scale.
Singing One-Off
Tasters
Useful for
those who have a time constraint but would like their group to experience
singing. This is ideal for organisations that have either a large or small
group. We will work on warm ups, basic technique and learn songs. Long-Term
Residency
With more time
we will work on developing technique, breathing and harmonies. We will
also experiment with song writing. Group

Anything from
5 to 100+ people. Timescale
Minimum 2 hours. Songs
Depending on
the situation, we will sing shared songs, songs for occasions, songs with
harmonies and songs from around the world.
Sound
Technology One-Off
Tasters
A participatory
workshop giving an introduction to music technology, including sampling,
mixing, rapping and experimenting with loops. Long-Term
Residency
Participatory,
participants will work on composing tunes, recording, lyric writing, and
sampling grooves and learn the basic workings of the machines. Group
Size
4 people maximum. Timescale
At least one
day for a one-off taster. There is no timescale for a long-term residency.
Bamboo
Boogaloo Construction of drumming hot
rods using blinds and tape. Participants can use their hot rods to play
chairs, tables, floors……..anything that can create sounds
and rhythms. Hot rods can be taken home at the end of the session. Group

Maximum 20 people in order to
get a good sounding rhythm
Band
In A Day This workshop has been designed
for corporate clients who want an activity that can fit into a specific
time scale. We can transform a group who have never played an instrument
before, into a drumming band, in a short space of time. Group

Training/INSET We provide an inspirational
and informative music workshop. Working in all musical styles, we run
a participatory workshop where there are opportunities to share ideas
and answer questions. Group
