The studio includes a sound
pad set up which allows eight pads to trigger samples through
one to eight pairs of speakers.
This has previously
formed an interactive sound element in sculpture installations
and theatre shows.
It can also
be used as a teaching tool for sound technology where participants
record sound - environmental atmospheres or samples of live group
playing. The pads then trigger these sounds as a performance,
which can also be recorded.
Original soundtrack compositions
combine multi-instrument layers e.g., percussion, brass, gamelan,
didgeridoo, musical saw, double bass, voices, melodeon, guitar,
whistles etc with found sound and samples.
